V60

HOW TO USE A V60

A V60, pour-over or coffee dripper works by pouring hot water over ground coffee, slowing flowing through it and extracting flavours.


What you need...

  1. A dripper (such as Hario)
  2. A filter
  3. Coffee (FINE GRIND)
  4. Stopwatch

Brewing Method...

  • Place the filter into the dripper and rinse through to reduce the paper taste
  • Add coffee – around 20g of fresh ground coffee
  • First pour – pour the boiling water gently over all the grounds until they are fully submerged. Using the stopwatch let the coffee bloom for 15 seconds
  • Pour the rest of the water. All together you should use around 12oz
  • Drain – let the water flow through the coffee and the filter
  • Look at for a smooth, flat top on the coffee left once finished. This is a sign of good extraction
