Testimonial – seeing coffee roasted was by far my favourite

Qualitasse looks small from the outside but the factory outback is remarkable. The amount of machinery was amazing and seeing coffee roasted was by far my favourite. The other gentleman was so lovely and funny!!! He really made the whole trip more enjoyable. He showed us the [roasting] machine and it was so fascinating. Overall, the trip was really eye-opening on how much work goes into making coffee. I would recommend.

Testimonial – I have enjoyed the whole trip around the coffee roastery

I thought the trip went really well. All the staff was really interested with explaining what their job roles was. It was really interesting how we did the blind smell test - how we smell different flavours. How the coffee being roasted was fascinating how it turned different colours through the roasting process. I have enjoyed the whole trip all of the bits of information were really interesting and fascinating. It would have been interesting to teach us how to do coffee art like when the barista did the leaf and actually try how to do it

Testimonial – Then they turned on the coffee roaster and we saw how quickly the green coffee beans to turn brown

The trip to the coffee house was very informative and interesting. We learned all about different coffee machines, where they were from and how they were used. The coffee roaster took us to the back of the factory where the roasters was. We did a taste and smell test where first we put our nose on cumin herb then in mouth then squeezed our nose and then let go and we could then taste it. Moving on, we had to smell what each food was in a coffee cup where we couldn’t see in. This was a fun and interesting experiment. Then they turned on the roaster and we saw how quickly the green coffee beans to turn brown in less than 15 mins!!! All in all it was a successful trip.

Testimonial – learning about the different types of coffee and where it came from was interesting

I thought the Qualitasse trip was interesting, the staff were kind and welcoming. Learning about the different types of coffee and where it came from was also interesting. We got to try different types of coffee which was nice but there were some I didn’t like. The first talk was interesting as they spoke to us about the different types of coffee machines and what year they were made. The second talk from the roaster was also interesting as he spoke to us about how the coffee is made and where it came from.

Testimonial – great info about what they do at the factory and I enjoyed learning about how they roast the coffee beans

They gave us great info about what they do at the factory and I enjoyed learning about how they roast the coffee beans and what it is that changes the taste of the coffee. The blind sniff challenge was fun and showed us what different syrups / flavours you can have added to coffee to change the taste.
